This site, part of the New York Times site, offers links to current articles about the Supreme Court. Most of the articles at this time (Fall 2005) are about nominee John G. Roberts, Jr. and range from information about Roberts and his confirmation hearings to analysis of his views. Included also are links to interactive sites, such as a detailed feature on William Rehnquist and a look at Roberts' opinions as a judge. Additional links lead to a variety of documents by or about Roberts. This site is an extremely valuable and timely site for teachers and students studying the current changes in the Supreme Court. Most linked articles are accessible without registering with the New York Times, although some do require free registration.

This Yahoo News site lists numerous links to current articles about the Supreme Court, mostly from various wire services and online newspapers. Articles are divided into "Off the Wire Stories" (which are the timeliest, often put online within minutes of being written), "News Stories", "Feature Articles" and "Opinion and Editorials." A list of links to Related Web Sites is also included. Most linked articles can be accessed without registering, although a few do require free registration, particularly those leading to the New York Times. Links to audio and video features are also included. Because it is a Yahoo site, there are advertisements, but the number and quality of articles presented on this site make it worthwhile for teachers and students wanting to research current Supreme Court information.

This site, part of the online Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, offers links to various documents from the John G. Roberts, Jr. collection, which were released for public viewing in August and September 2005. These documents include memos, letters, and other documents written by or connected in some way to Roberts. All were written during the Reagan administration. Topics of these documents include abortion, school prayer, First Amendment and civil rights, among others. Many appointee clearances are also included. The documents linked on this site could be very interesting and valuable to teachers and students researching Roberts and his past views and decisions. Some sorting, probably by teachers, might have to be done to find the most valuable documents for student use.

This is a very interesting and informative interactive site, part of the New York Times site. One can look at important decisions made by Rehnquist's court, with links to the full text of each decision. Interesting information regarding swing votes over the years is another link. Yet another offers information about possible nominees for Sandra Day O'Connor's position. Another offers information about John G. Roberts, Jr., including past cases, while others present information about past court leaders and levels of agreement among recent Supreme Court Justices. This interactive site, while not offering a lot of detailed information, is a valuable one for students and teachers researching opinions and decisions of recent and current Supreme Court Justices.

This site, part of NPR's online site, includes links to articles dealing with John G. Roberts, Jr.'s confirmation hearings. Also included are links to audio highlights of the hearings. Along with factual articles, opinions and analysis are also included, most by well-known NPR political analysts such as Nina Totenberg. Most articles include audio as well as text. This is a very valuable and informative site for students and teachers researching Roberts' confirmation hearings. The many analysis pieces will be particularly interesting for students and teachers who are researching Roberts' opinions and also for students who are learning about the art of political analysis.

This interesting site offers current and historical information that could be valuable for both students and teachers researching the confirmation process as well as the 2005 changes in The Supreme Court.

Part of the C-Span.org site, this site presents numerous links to video clips of recent Supreme Court events. In the fall of 2005, these clips include portions of John G. Roberts, Jr.'s confirmation hearings as well as interviews with various concerned people regarding Roberts. These interviews range from the president of Planned Parenthood to both Republican and Democratic senators. Also included are links to news articles and documents regarding the Roberts confirmation hearings as well as general Supreme Court resources regarding Roberts' nomination. Links to archived video clips about William Rehnquist are included as well. Real Player is required to play the video clips. The multi-media nature of this site will add interest for students. It is a site well worth visiting by students and teachers researching current Supreme Court events.
